When first opening the Spreadsheet Results Package you may be greeted with a error message from Excel stating:
"Macros in the workbook are disabled because the security level is high, and the macros may not have been digitally signed or verified as safe. To run the macros, you can either have them signed or change your security level. Click Help for more information."
This is a standard, built in security feature of Microsoft Excel and is nothing to worry about. You will have to change the settings for Excel once and once only. To do this, first click 'OK' then go to the 'Tools' Menu, down to 'Macro' and left click 'Security'. From this point you have two options:
-
Medium - Will ask you every time you open the package if you would like to ebanle the macros to which you must agree to, to make the package work.
-
Low - Will not ask you every time the package is opened, nor will this error bother you again, but you may find yourself unprotected in future should a suitable virus scanner not be installed on your computer.
After setting the security level for the first time, you will need to close the package and re-open it. You will not have to repeat this stage in the future.
